One Summer Night: The weekly blog by Jeff Carnie

One Summer Night

One summer night during a severe thunderstorm a mother was tucking her small son into bed. She was about to turn the light off when he asked in a trembling voice, “Mommy, will you stay with me all night?” Smiling, the mother gave him a warm, reassuring hug and said tenderly, “I can’t dear. I have to sleep in Daddy’s room.” A long silence followed. At last it was broken by a shaky voice saying, “The big sissy!”

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

2 Timothy 1:7  NIV

Be BOLD in the Lord! Have a great week!

A Father And His Children: The Weekly Blog by Jeff Carnie

A Father And His Children:

The story is told of a father of five who came home with a toy, he summoned his children and ask which one should be given the present. “WHO IS THE MOST OBEDIENT, NEVER TALKS BACK TO MOM AND DOES EVERY THING HE OR SHE IS TOLD TO DO?” He inquired. There was a silence, and then a chorus of voices: “YOU PLAY WITH IT DADDY!”  Sorry men!! Happy Fathers Day 🙂

The Twenty and the One Dollar Bill

A one dollar bill met a twenty dollar bill and said, “Hey, where’ve you been? I haven’t seen you around here much.” The twenty answered (as the dollar bill listened enviously), “I’ve been hanging out at the casinos, went out on a cruise and did the rounds of the ship, back to the United States for a while, went to a couple of baseball games, to the mall, that kind of stuff. How about you?” The one dollar bill said, “You know, same old stuff, church, church, church.”

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.  Matthew 6:21

SALVATION! The weekly blog by Jeff Carnie

SALVATION

A twelve year old boy became a christian during a revival. The next week at school his friends questioned him about the experience. “Did you see a vision?” asked one friend. “Did you hear God speak?” asked another. The youngster answered no to all these questions. “Well, how did you know you were saved?” they asked. The boy searched for an answer and finally he said, “It’s like when you catch a fish, you cant see the fish, or hear the fish; you just feel him tugging on your line. I just felt God tugging on my heart.”

Have a great rest of the week!
